#Unsung heroines

5th Dec, 2016

| by writesolutions

Who is a heroine? A frail woman, who leaps before a speeding train to save her child? Someone who swims 1.4 miles in the freezing waters of the Antarctic Ocean in 52 minutes to be crowned as Asia’s first woman to achieve this feat?  A sarpanch (local administrator) with an MBA degree? A woman who drives a train?

At Write Solutions, we believe all these women are super achievers but unfortunately, no one knows about them because no one has ever told their stories to the world. Timid and media shy, these women have fought shy of news hounds and refrained from stepping into the limelight. So very few people know about their accomplishments.

As story weavers, we take it upon ourselves to tell their stories. Through 2017, we will profile one such woman every month through Write Solutions’ blog and various other social media platforms that we are present on and feel good and proud about them.

Instead of choosing festival days to wish our business associates, we will go against the tide and choose one important day associated with the life of each of these 12 women to tell their stories – could be a birth day, an anniversary, the day the woman of the month accomplished the task she had set out before her, to remind us of what makes ordinary people like her so extraordinary.

Why just women achievers, you may ask? The answer is simple. If you haven’t noticed already, Write Solutions is a boutique advertising agency, a women-all outfit – not a deliberate choice, but a happy coincidence – and we simply revel in expressing our creativity in myriad, innovative ways. Nothing pleases us more than to please our clients with our out-of-box thinking, integrity and never-tried-before inventiveness.

We hope you enjoy this 12-edition story series as much as we enjoyed putting it together for you. Wishing you a very Happy 2017!!!

Fabulous initiative Radhika. Been wanting to do something similar for a very long time now.
